The Samsung Galaxy S25 series allows you to control how long your screen stays on before timing out and offers a feature to keep the screen on while you’re looking at it. This guide explains how to adjust the screen timeout duration and enable or disable the “Keep screen on while viewing” feature.
Adjusting Screen Timeout Duration
Screen timeout determines how long your phone’s screen remains on before turning off automatically.
- Tap the home button to return to the home screen.
- Swipe down from the top and tap the settings icon (gear icon).
- Tap “Display.”
- Tap “Screen timeout.”
- Select your preferred timeout duration from the list: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes.
- Tap the back key or the home button to return to the home screen.
Keep Screen On While Viewing
This feature uses the front-facing camera to detect your face and keep the screen on as long as you’re looking at it.
- In the “Display” settings, tap “Screen timeout.”
- Tap “Keep screen on while viewing.”
- Toggle the switch to turn the feature on or off.
By adjusting these settings, you can customize how long your Samsung Galaxy S25 series screen stays on, preventing it from turning off too quickly or staying on unnecessarily and consuming battery power.
