Garena Opens Monster Hunter Outlanders Pre-Registration In Malaysia, Singapore And The Philippines

Garena has announced that it will publish Monster Hunter Outlanders in Southeast Asia, with pre-registration now open for players in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

The mobile game is being developed by TiMi Studio Group and expands Capcom’s Monster Hunter series into a large open-world experience designed for smartphones.

Monster Hunter Outlanders previously attracted attention through its closed beta. Garena’s publishing announcement now brings the game closer to a wider regional release, although an official launch date has not yet been confirmed.

Monster Hunter Moves Into An Open-World Mobile Format

Monster Hunter Outlanders keeps the basic structure that made the franchise popular.

Players explore large environments, track monsters, gather materials and use the resources they collect to craft better equipment. The difference is that this version has been built around mobile play and includes stronger survival and exploration elements.

The game allows players to move freely across different parts of the map instead of simply selecting a hunt from a menu.

Players can gather resources while exploring, prepare equipment and build tools that make it easier to reach distant areas.

That approach makes Monster Hunter Outlanders feel like more than a collection of short battles. Exploration, preparation and survival appear to be important parts of the experience.

Radiant Species Introduce New Monster Variants

One of the new additions is a monster type called Radiant Species.

These are special variants created specifically for Monster Hunter Outlanders. They are expected to look and behave differently from the standard monsters players encounter during regular hunts.

Garena has not revealed every Radiant Species that will appear in the game, but previews show that the variants will serve as more powerful or unusual versions of familiar creatures.

That could give longtime Monster Hunter players another reason to try the mobile release.

The series has traditionally used subspecies, variants and stronger high-rank monsters to create more difficult encounters. Radiant Species appears to be Outlanders’ version of that idea, while also giving the game its own identity.

Crafting Helps Players Explore The Map

The crafting and survival systems featured during the closed beta will remain in the final game.

Players can collect materials and use them to create equipment that helps them move through the environment.

This includes launchers that can send characters across certain areas and ziplines that provide faster routes between locations.

These tools should reduce the amount of time spent walking through large sections of the map. They may also help players reach elevated areas, avoid obstacles or quickly return to hunting locations.

The feature makes exploration more interactive because players are not limited to following a fixed route. Instead, they can build shortcuts and decide how they want to move around the world.

Combat Is Being Simplified For Mobile Controls

Monster Hunter games are known for deliberate combat where weapon timing, positioning and stamina management matter.

Bringing that system to a touchscreen creates a challenge because mobile players do not have the same number of physical buttons available on a console controller.

Garena says Monster Hunter Outlanders has adjusted its controls so players can perform smooth combo attacks using a single button.

That does not necessarily mean every fight will become easy.

Players will still need to watch monster movements, avoid incoming attacks and choose when to use their strongest abilities. However, reducing the number of required inputs should make the game easier to control on a phone.

The real test will be whether the simplified controls preserve the sense of weight and precision expected from Monster Hunter combat.

Players Can Hunt With Friends Or Adventurers

Monster Hunter Outlanders supports four-player cooperative hunts.

Players can form a complete team with three other people before entering a hunt. Those who do not have a full group can use NPC characters called Adventurers to fill the remaining positions.

Adventurers are more than basic computer-controlled companions. Each character has a distinct appearance, equipment and role in combat.

This should make solo play more manageable, especially during difficult hunts where one player may struggle to distract a monster, deal damage and recover at the same time.

The game will also include hunting Buddies that can accompany players during their adventures. These companions are expected to help with exploration and battles, although Garena has not yet revealed every Buddy that will be available.

Monster Hunter Outlanders Pre-Registration Is Open

Players in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines can now pre-register for Monster Hunter Outlanders through Garena’s official regional page.

The website provides additional information about the game’s Adventurers, hunting Buddies, monsters and Radiant Species.

Garena has not announced when the game will officially launch or whether progress from previous testing periods will carry over.

For now, the opening of regional pre-registration suggests that development is moving toward a broader release.

Monster Hunter Outlanders will still need to prove that it can translate the series’ detailed combat and progression systems to a mobile platform. However, its open-world exploration, cooperative hunts and mobile-friendly controls could make it one of the more ambitious Monster Hunter releases designed for smartphones.
