According to 9to5Mac, three areas could help Apple Watch Ultra 4 stand apart from earlier Ultra models.
More Health Sensors
The biggest upgrade may be inside the watch.
9to5Mac cites reports from DigiTimes claiming that Apple Watch Ultra 4 will receive a significant sensor upgrade. One report said the number of sensor components could double.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also reportedly said that Apple is preparing improvements to fitness tracking.
Exactly what the additional sensors will measure is still unclear.
A new feature related to high blood pressure monitoring may also be coming, although its exact function has not been confirmed.
A Faster Apple Watch Chip
Apple Watch Ultra 4 is also expected to get a new S-series processor.
Current Apple Watch models use the S10 chip, but 9to5Mac notes that major processing performance has changed relatively little since the S9 arrived in 2023.
