Based on recent reports and Google\u2019s own teasers, the Pixel 11 lineup could highlight three major shifts in the smartphone market: higher entry prices, more device-based AI features and tighter app verification rules under Android 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Google has already confirmed that the next generation of Pixel devices will be shown at its Made by Google event on August 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Google Store teaser also lists Pixel 11 pre-orders for the same date and mentions the Pixel Watch 5 as part of the upcoming product lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Google has also been promoting the event on X through the official Made by Google account, including posts teasing the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Forbes, Google is expected to drop the old $799 starting point for its main Pixel flagship and move the Pixel 11 to a $899 base price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reported reason is storage. Instead of offering a 128GB entry model, Google is expected to start the Pixel 11 lineup at 256GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recent reporting from The Verge and TechRadar also points to the same expected price increase. Reported prices include $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, $1,299 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL and $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That would make the Pixel 11 series more expensive on paper, but the base storage increase could be Google\u2019s way of making the jump easier to defend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still, Google has not officially confirmed final pricing or specifications as of this writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bigger story may be AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forbes frames the Pixel 11 Pro as a major step in Google\u2019s plan to make AI run more directly on the phone, especially through Gemini and local AI workloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That matters because on-device AI needs stronger hardware. More RAM and storage can help phones handle AI features without sending every task to the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is one caveat. Forbes highlights 16GB RAM as a major part of the premium Pixel 11 story, but other fresh reports say some Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL versions may start with 12GB RAM, while higher storage variants could keep 16GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For everyday buyers, the Pixel 11 Pro may come down to value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A higher starting price could be easier to accept if Google delivers better storage, stronger AI features, improved cameras and longer-lasting performance. But if some models cut RAM while raising prices, buyers may look more carefully at which version they are getting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
